1. Bring a song
Open a folder or ZIP containing an UltraStar .txt chart and its matching audio. Add cover art and a background video for the full experience. Browser-supported codecs only; a broken media file cannot be repaired by its extension.
2. Connect your voice
Open Soundcheck, allow microphone access, and sing a steady vowel. You should see your pitch and input level. Use headphones: speakers can leak the guide vocal into your microphone and inflate your score.
3. Follow the notes
Cyan and pink bars are target pitches. Your live pitch appears at the playhead. Golden notes count double. Freestyle lyrics are unscored. Rap notes score vocal activity rather than pitch. Another octave is allowed by default.
Practice, privacy & storage
Rehearsal, changing speed, or seeking marks the run unranked. Scores use this app's normalized 10,000-point system, not native UltraStar's exact scoring. Local imports never leave your browser. “Remember imports” stores copies in this browser; clearing site data removes them. Hosted catalog songs need an internet connection.
Open source, not an official release
This community browser reimplementation adapts UltraStar Play's MIT-licensed format handling. It does not include Unity, upstream artwork, commercial music, online multiplayer, phone-as-microphone pairing, or the full native song editor.
